USAF Small Arms Marksmanship Training Unit Patch - Combat Arms Precursor

Created due to a request and historical contribution from a customer, this patch was used by instructors at the 3290th Technical Training Group, Lackland AFB, TX (the Small Arms Marksmanship Training Unit) from 1958 to 1965. The motto reads "Abeunt Studia In Habitus" or "studies become habit." Eventually the Marksmanship Unit turned into the Small Arms Marksmanship Training Unit (SAMTU) before evolving yet again into Combat Arms Training and Maintenance.
